Founded by Pierre Leon Keusseyan in 1963, POLIMAR was initially involved in the design and fabrication of specialty metallic structures, and the supply and service of machinery and equipment. From the late 70's onwards, the Company directed its efforts towards servicing the automotive trade in general, and offering its vehicle refinishing products and services to automobile franchises and dealerships in particular.

Today, POLIMAR is the acknowledged leader in vehicle refinishing consumables and equipment supplies in the United Arab Emirates. POLIMAR represents premium brands of automotive after market products in the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf Countries.

These are: STANDOX vehicle refinishing systems, 3M automotive products and abrasives, COLAD paintshop accessories, FARECLA automotive finishing compounds, AUTO MAGIC automotive valeting products, U.S.C. plastic masking products, DUPONT technical wipes, TOTAL SEAL adhesives and sealants, MULTIMIX commercial vehicle and industrial finishing systems, SPERITEX spray booth filters, HBC smart repair solutions and AREXONS over counter cleaning and detailing products in the field of consumables.

POLIMAR'S "one-stop-shop" concept for professional bodyshops is constantly improved to allow customers to enjoy state-of-the-art finishing technologies. Furthermore, our team of qualified and independently IMI accredited technical staff ensures that wastage cutting and efficiency increasing practices are implemented in our clients’ bodyshops. Being a Polimar customer means: Saving time, reducing waste, increasing resource utilization and efficiency which results in higher profitability.

Our customer support package offers many free or nominally charged services such as: a Standomix paint mixing scheme, Universe bodyshop information - colour retrieval and stock management system, Standomix 3000 or Standowin computerized colour retrieval system, local market colour mapping, mobile technical product support and troubleshooting, hotline technical and colour support, state-of-the-art people centric staff training, bodyshop technical consulting, bodyshop analysis and solutions recommendations, CAD bodyshop design, bodyshop marketing and environmental advice and waste collection services and twice daily deliveries.

Customer needs are assessed through bodyshop audits, after which specific advice on products, processes and training requirements is provided. Training is carried out on site at the customers' premises or in our well equipped IMI audited and accredited training centre in Sharjah which to date has logged in excess of 32,000 "man days" of theoretical and practical training.

Our regular training programme upholds the principle of: "retain and upgrade the know-how capital within bodyshop staff", thus ensuring consistency in the high quality finishes obtained by our customers. These regularly updated and conducted training workshops treat most aspects of bodyshop activities and are provided by our multi-lingual, highly skilled and experienced technical personnel. Custom designed training courses and consultancy meeting specific customer needs are also offered.

Believing that Management should know the systems used by their staff, POLIMAR also informs and trains them through seminars and marketing workshops reviewing various topics such as product knowledge for Managers, marketing the bodyshop, key account development and negotiation techniques, as well as the use of our UNIVERS bodyshop information - colour retrieval and stock management software, thus achieving an up to date understanding and implementation of bodyshop processes through information dissemination at all bodyshop staff levels. These forums also serve to foster communication and exchange best practices between colleagues across the whole automotive service trade.
